players wishing to explore the
world of Eberron.
The Explorers Handbook
showcases the multi-continental aspect of the Eberron setting.
The chapter on travel discusses instantaneous and played-out
travel and provides deck plans for airships, the lightning rail, and
galleons, plus other methods of conveyance. A chapter on
Explorers Essentials offers information on travel papers, preassembled
equipment kits,
how to join the Wayfarers Foundation, and more. This handbook will
encourage you to explore the entire world rather

Combat
Medic
by
Adrian Drake
I
am your Combat Medic, here to help you look at your D&D
Miniatures and determine how to make your warband better. In every
installment I will look at a warband submitted to op-insider@wizards.com and see what we can do to make it
better.
The Warband
The warband we'll look at in this installment was
recently used in the Montreal Area Qualifier. It looks solid, but I'm
betting we can tighten it up a bit.

Initiative CardsThe Game Mechanics ( http://www.thegamemechanics.com).
Lets face it, combat in a game can sometimes be a confusing mess. The
rotating style of initiative sometimes makes it difficult to know
exactly who goes when, especially with the option of holding an action
and other ways of mixing up the order. Combat should be fast and
furious, not bogged down with calls of Fourteen? Thirteen? How about
twelve? MORE
Foolishly Answered Questions
The players of Five
Foot Steps regularly answer your burning questions about
roleplaying, game etiquette, and the Dungeons & Dragons
rules. Note that we did not specify the answers were particularly
helpful or accurate. Consider yourself warned.
Q. My DM has tried to explain attacks of opportunity to
me, like, 15 times. I still dont understand. What am I missing?
Kristen
the New Player: Oh, I know! Those things are so annoying. Doug has
tried to get me to understand, but Im always like, Just tell me when
I get hit. Its like sometimes, I move through an empty square and Im
fine, and other times, I get smacked by an ogre or somethingeven when
hes two squares away! Its totally not fair. You know what else I
dont get? Reflex saves. I mean, if my rogue is dodging out of the way
of the blast so that she doesnt even get singed, why doesnt she move
at all? Can anyone explain that to me? MORE
